Silkscreen Printing

Our silkscreen printing service covers garments, ribbons and selected promotional branding items for businesses, schools and events. Based in Boksburg, we print for clients across Ekurhuleni and greater Gauteng, with practical lead times and clear pricing.

What our silkscreen printing service covers

Executive Screen Printers handles silkscreen printing for workwear, event wear, ribbons and selected promotional items that need repeat branding in a tidy, hard-wearing finish. We print for factories, schools, churches, estates, contractors and local businesses that need dependable quantities without fuss. If you need 50 shirts for a launch or a larger run for your team, we can set it up in a way that suits the item and the artwork.

Our workshop in Boksburg supports clients right across the East Rand, with production suited to the reality of load-shedding, short deadlines and deliveries between sites. We work with cotton, cotton blends and other printable textiles, and we also handle specific promotional items that can take ink properly. For garments, the goal is a sharp print that holds up to regular wear and washing, not a flimsy finish that fades after a few washes.

  • T-shirts, golf shirts, overalls and similar garments
  • Branded ribbons for launches, functions and packaging
  • Selected promo items that suit screen printed branding
  • Single-colour and multi-colour artwork, depending on the item

How we set up your print job

Every job starts with the artwork and the item itself. A simple one-colour logo is quicker to set up than a detailed design with fine lines or multiple colour layers, so we check the file first and confirm what will print cleanly. If the supplied artwork needs cleaning up or resizing, our team prepares it for the screen process and keeps the layout practical for the final item.

Once the setup is approved, we prepare the screens, match the ink where possible and test the print on the chosen material. This matters on darker garments and textured fabrics, where the ink needs proper coverage. We also check placement so the print sits straight on the chest, sleeve or back panel. That sort of detail saves rework and keeps the order consistent from first item to last.

  • Artwork check and sizing
  • Colour and placement confirmation
  • Screen preparation and test print
  • Bulk production with quality checks

Turnaround times and order planning

Turnaround depends on quantity, artwork complexity and the item being printed. Small runs can often be completed faster than larger corporate orders, but we still need time for screen preparation, drying and final checking. If your team is working to a launch date, school event or site handover, it helps to book early so we can plan the production slot properly.

In many cases, standard garment orders can be turned around within a few working days once artwork is approved and stock is on hand. Larger runs, ribbon orders with multiple colours, or items requiring special handling may take longer. We will tell you what is realistic upfront, which is better than promising something we cant finish properly. For urgent jobs, ask at enquiry stage and we will advise if the timing is workable.

  • Small orders often suit quicker turnaround
  • Larger runs need drying and staging time
  • Artwork approval affects the production date
  • Collection, delivery or site drop-off can be arranged

Pricing approach that keeps the quote clear

Our pricing is based on the type of item, the number of colours, the quantity and the level of setup needed. A larger quantity usually brings the unit cost down, while extra colours or difficult placements add to the work involved. We price jobs in a practical way so you can see where the cost comes from, instead of getting a vague figure that changes later.

For garments, the base price depends on the shirt or item supplied, then the print cost is added according to the design. For ribbons and smaller branded items, the pricing is guided by size, ink coverage and the number of repeats. If you need a mix of sizes, colours or departments, we can split the order and quote it separately so the numbers stay easy to manage. No one likes surprises on a Rand quote when stock is already ordered.

  • Quantity affects unit price
  • Colour count changes setup and print cost
  • Artwork complexity can add prep time
  • Item type and fabric influence print method

Print durability, wash care and maintenance intervals

A good screen print should last through normal wear and washing when the garment is cared for properly. We recommend cold or lukewarm washes, garments turned inside out and no harsh bleach on branded items. Heat from over-drying can shorten the life of the print, especially on lighter-weight shirts. That is common sense really, but it makes a proper difference over time.

For workwear that is worn often, some clients refresh their printed stock every 12 to 18 months, while heavy-use garments may need replacement sooner depending on site conditions, laundering and sun exposure. If the order is for a uniform team, it helps to keep a spare batch aside for replacements so the branding stays consistent. We can also advise on reprints if your logo changes or if old garments need updated marking.

  • Wash inside out where possible
  • Use mild detergent and avoid strong bleach
  • Keep heat drying moderate
  • Plan replacement stock for regular wear items

Where this service fits with the rest of your branding

Silkscreen printing often works best alongside other signage and branding needs. A contractor might need branded overalls, safety signs for the site and a vehicle decal package at the same time. A school may need event ribbons, staff shirts and directional boards for a sports day. We keep these jobs under one roof so the branding stays consistent and the handover is simpler.

Because we operate from Boksburg, we regularly assist clients in Benoni, Germiston, Kempton Park, Alberton, Springs, Edenvale and Midrand. We also understand the practical side of local work: collecting stock on time, getting into industrial areas during business hours, and handling deliveries around municipal access points or estate rules. If you need printed items tied into a wider sign order, our team can coordinate it without making the process a nuisance.

  • Workwear and promotional items can be matched to sign projects
  • Local delivery is available across Ekurhuleni and Gauteng
  • Orders can be combined for simpler collection
  • Suitable for businesses, schools, events and estates
