Banner Printing

PVC banners are a practical choice for short to medium term messaging at events, shops, schools and building sites. We print, finish and fit banners for businesses across Boksburg, Ekurhuleni and greater Gauteng.

PVC banners for short term and repeat use

Banner printing is one of the most cost-effective ways to get a message up quickly. PVC banners suit promotions, opening specials, fundraisers, road-side notices, estate launches and temporary site information. They are light enough to move around, yet tough enough for outdoor use when they are made and fixed properly.

For most jobs, a banner is printed on PVC flex with reinforced edges and eyelets. That gives you a clean finish and makes it easier to tie, cable-tie or rope the banner into place. We also print double sided where required, or single sided when the banner will only be viewed from one direction.

  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
  • Good for short to medium term campaigns
  • Available in standard and custom sizes
  • Can be folded and stored when not in use

Sizes, materials and finish options

There is no fixed size for a banner. We make small pull-up style banners for counters, medium banners for shopfronts and larger pieces for fences, scaffolding and roadside visibility. Common sizes include 1.5 m x 0.6 m, 2 m x 1 m, 3 m x 1 m and larger custom boards to suit the wall or fence space you have available.

Material choice depends on where the banner will hang and how long it must last. Standard PVC is fine for most retail and event work. For windier areas, we can add extra reinforcement, more eyelets or reduce the solid area on the design so the banner handles gusts better. If the banner is going near coastal areas or exposed yards, allow for faster wear and ask for heavier finishing from the start.

  • Single sided or double sided print
  • Gloss finish or matt finish where required
  • Eyelets, hemming and welded edges available
  • Optional ropes, cable ties or pole pockets

Where banner printing works best

Banners are useful where you need fast turnaround and clear visibility without a permanent sign structure. They are often used at warehouse openings, weekend promotions, market stalls, sports days, church events, school functions and site boundaries. For property work, estate agents use them for show days, directional notices and development launches.

In industrial areas around Boksburg, Benoni, Germiston and Kempton Park, banners are also used for safety messages, contractor notices and temporary access instructions. On active sites, a banner can carry the key information without needing electricity or a heavy structure. That makes it handy during load-shedding, on vacant stands and at places where power has not yet been connected.

When the banner is for roadside viewing, keep the wording simple. A short headline, a phone-safe size of text and a strong colour contrast will always read better than a crowded layout.

Fitting, mounting and site conditions

Most banner jobs need proper fitting to last. A banner tied loosely to a fence will flap, tear and curl at the corners. We can fit banners to palisade fencing, brick walls, scaffolding, gates and temporary frames. Depending on the site, we may recommend rope, bungee ties, screws with washers or a pocket system for poles and rails.

For outdoor installs, think about wind, rain and dust. A banner in a sheltered courtyard may be fine with standard eyelets, while a banner on a busy corner in Midrand or along an open fence in Springs may need stronger edging. If the area has limited access, we also plan the install so the team can work safely and finish the job in one visit where possible.

  • Fence mounting for site perimeters
  • Wall fixing for shopfronts and indoor displays
  • Temporary fitting for events and promotions
  • Removal and re-use where the banner is still in good condition

Artwork, wording and ordering checks

Before printing, the artwork must suit the size and the viewing distance. A banner seen from 5 metres needs very different text treatment from one read across a parking area or a road. Keep your logo, contact details and headline clear, and avoid too much small print. If your message must be read quickly, less is usually better.

When ordering, check the final size, the finish, the number of eyelets, whether the banner is single or double sided, and where the seam lines will fall if the job is large. Also confirm the exact wording, spelling and contact details before approval. Once a banner is printed, changes are not simple and they usually add cost. A quick check now saves time later, especially on urgent jobs where everyone is working under pressure.

  • Confirm size in millimetres or metres
  • Check spellings, logos and contact details
  • State indoor or outdoor use
  • Tell us how the banner will be hung

Care, storage and replacement planning

With normal care, a PVC banner can be used for several weeks or months, sometimes longer if it is sheltered. Keep it clean with a soft cloth and mild soap, then let it dry before rolling or folding it away. Do not store it wet, because trapped moisture can mark the print and weaken the material. In humid conditions, especially near the East Rand and other damp areas, this matters more than people realise.

If the banner is used for recurring promotions, it helps to keep it rolled rather than folded. That reduces crease lines and makes the next install neater. Check the eyelets, corners and edges before each re-use. If there is fraying, fading or cracking from sun exposure, it is usually better to replace the banner before it fails on site.

We also handle maintenance visits, minor repairs and replacement banners where a campaign has changed. That keeps your site message tidy and ready for the next run.

Questions we get asked

What size banner should I order?

Choose the size based on where it will hang and how far people will stand from it. We can work from your wall, fence or frame measurements and advise on the best proportion.

Can a banner be used outdoors?

Yes. PVC banners are commonly used outside, but the fixing method matters. Wind exposure, rain and direct sun all affect how long the banner stays in good condition.

Do I need power for banner printing or installation?

No power is needed for the banner itself. If it is being installed on a site with no electricity, that is not a problem. We just need safe access and the correct mounting plan.
