What to upload with your artwork request
Use the enquiry form on our contact page and attach everything you have to hand. If you are starting from scratch, send the text exactly as it must appear, even if it is only a name, a slogan and a contact number. The more complete your pack, the quicker we can prepare a clean layout for approval.
For signage and print work, small details matter. A wrong phone digit, an outdated logo or a missing unit number can delay production and lead to extra cost. If you are ordering from Boksburg, Benoni, Germiston, Kempton Park or nearby areas, it helps to include site names, suburbs and any municipal wording that must stay on the board.
- Logo files, preferably the clearest version you have
- Company name, registration name and trading name if they differ
- Wording for the sign, T-shirt, overalls or corporate gift
- Sizes, colours and any preferred finish
- Site address, vehicle details or branch name where needed
- Notes on what must stay the same from an old sign
How we turn your files into production-ready layouts
Once your enquiry comes in, the team checks the supplied material and prepares a layout that suits the job type. A vehicle graphic needs different spacing to a shopfront board, and safety signs must be clear from a distance. We set out the wording, size the elements and check that the layout will work for cutting, printing or mounting.
Our team in Boksburg handles everything from cut vinyl lettering to silkscreen printing and large site boards. If your artwork is not ideal for production, we will say so and guide you on the next step. Sometimes that means redrawing a logo, tidying lines, or changing a font so it holds up better on a curved panel or in bright sunlight.
- Artwork is checked for clarity and scale
- Text is set out to suit the final sign size
- Colours are matched as closely as possible to the supplied reference
- Cut lines, overlaps and spacing are adjusted for production
- We confirm any missing details before work starts
File types that work best for signage and print
Vector artwork is best for large signs, vehicle markings and cut vinyl because it stays sharp when enlarged. If you only have a photo or a social media image, send that too and we will assess whether it can be used as is or needs to be redrawn. For some jobs, a good quality JPEG or PDF is enough. For others, we may need a cleaner source file to keep the finish neat.
Low-resolution images often look fine on a screen but become grainy on a board or banner. That is especially important for estate-agent boards, fleet markings and name plates where the wording must stay crisp at a glance. If a file was saved from a phone or forwarded too many times, tell us upfront so we can work with it correctly.
- Best option: vector artwork with editable text and outlines
- Good option: high-resolution PDF, JPEG or PNG
- Acceptable for reference: a photo of an existing sign or logo
- Useful extra: brand colours, font names or an old artwork copy
Supply artwork for different jobs we handle
Different products need different artwork treatment. A safety sign must be readable in an emergency, while a ribbon or gift print may need smaller lettering and tighter spacing. If you are ordering for a fleet, site board or corporate gift run, let us know the application so we can prepare the layout with the right margins and print area.
We also handle installation work across Ekurhuleni and greater Gauteng, so if your sign will be mounted outdoors we can factor in visibility, height and weather exposure. Coastal humidity is not our main issue in Boksburg, but dust, sun and summer rain still affect materials, so the artwork needs to suit the finish and the fixings being used. Johan and Sibusiso often check whether a board will need extra allowance for poles, brackets or wall fixing points.
- Commercial signs and shopfront lettering
- Vehicle branding and fleet marking
- Estate-agent boards and site boards
- Safety notices and direction signs
- Silkscreen printing for garments and gifts
If your logo is old, blurry or incomplete
Do not hold back a job because the artwork is not perfect. We deal with faded scans, old letterheads and photos of signs taken in poor light all the time. Send what you have and tell us what must remain unchanged. A partial logo can often be rebuilt well enough for production, especially when the colours and proportions are still clear.
If the artwork is missing details, we may ask for a second file or a written description. Lerato and Nokuthula often help clients sort through old files and figure out what belongs on the final layout. That may include fixing a spelling issue, checking a street address, or matching wording for multiple branches in Boksburg, Germiston, Edenvale, Midrand or Springs.
What happens after you submit your artwork
After we receive your files, we review the job and get back with any questions before production starts. If a proof is needed, we send the layout for approval so you can check spelling, spacing and placement. Please review it carefully, because once the sign is cut, printed or mounted, changes can cost time and materials.
When the layout is approved, production is scheduled and the team moves ahead with manufacture, printing or fitment. If you need maintenance visits, vinyl removal or a refurbishment on an existing sign, the same artwork process still applies. Clear instructions at the start help us keep the job neat, on time and properly suited to the site.
- Submit your enquiry through the contact page form
- Attach your logo, wording and any reference images
- Wait for questions or a proof if needed
- Approve the layout before production begins
- Allow for fitting, delivery or collection as arranged
