How to book a fitting date
Use the enquiry form on our contact page to request an installation booking. Tell us what needs fitting, where the job is located, and whether it is a single board, a shopfront sign, cut vinyl lettering, vehicle branding or a full site package. The more detail you give us up front, the easier it is for our team to plan the right crew and equipment.
Once we receive your request, our office team checks the job details, confirms the location and works out what is needed for access, mounting and safety. For larger installs in Boksburg, Benoni, Germiston, Kempton Park, Alberton, Springs, Edenvale or Midrand, we may arrange a site survey first so there are no surprises on the day.
What we need before installation day
Good preparation saves time on site and helps avoid delays. If you already have approved artwork or an existing sign to be replaced, send the details with your request. If the job involves a wall, fascia, pole, fence or vehicle, let us know the surface type and approximate size. That helps us bring the correct fixings, ladders, tools and safety gear.
- Exact address and suburb
- Type of sign, board or graphic
- Approximate sizes in millimetres or metres
- Whether the site has parking, loading access or security requirements
- Any special timing needs, such as after hours work or weekend fitting
- If old signage must be removed before the new one goes up
If there is a municipal or sectional title rule on the property, please mention it early. Some sites need landlord approval, body corporate permission or specific fixing methods, especially where signage faces a road or shared parking area.
Site checks, access and safety on the day
Our installation foreman plans each fitting with the site in mind. We look at height, wind exposure, wall condition, vehicle access and any working restrictions before we start. In the East Rand, weather and dust can change quickly, so we also consider how the site will handle heat, rain and strong afternoon winds.
For high level work or larger boards, we use the right lifting method and secure fixings for the surface. If a site has tight access, uneven ground or active traffic nearby, we will plan the sequence carefully. That helps keep the job moving safely and avoids damage to the sign, building or vehicle.
- Check the wall, frame or mounting point
- Confirm final positioning before drilling or fixing
- Protect nearby painted surfaces and glass where needed
- Fit with suitable hardware for the material and environment
- Clean up the area after the work is complete
Vehicle branding and fleet fitment
Fleet marking and vehicle fitment need a slightly different approach from board installation. We plan around the shape of the vehicle, the condition of the paint and the time available for drying and handling. If the vehicle is used daily, let us know so we can work around business hours where possible.
For bakkies, vans, panel vans and company cars, our fitment team checks the body panels, trims and curves before applying vinyl. In warm weather vinyl can move and settle fast, while in cool or damp conditions it may need a bit more time to take properly. If your fleet operates around Gauteng, we can arrange grouped fitting days so more than one vehicle can be handled in a single visit.
Replacing old signs or removing vinyl first
If your existing sign needs to come down first, we can include removal in the booking. That may involve lifting off an old board, taking out tired lettering, stripping damaged vinyl or cleaning the surface before the new installation goes up. In some cases the old fixings leave holes or marks that need attention before mounting the replacement.
Sign refurbishment is often the better option if the frame is still sound and only the face or graphics need a refresh. We will advise whether a full replacement, partial update or simple re-fit makes the most sense for the site and budget. This is especially useful for estate boards, site boards and long running business signs that still have a good structure underneath.
Aftercare, maintenance and follow-up visits
Once a sign is fitted, a little maintenance helps it last longer. Coastal humidity can affect some metal parts over time, while sun, dust and traffic grime can build up on outdoor signs across Gauteng. If a board loosens, a letter lifts or a sign face needs cleaning, we can arrange a maintenance visit.
For businesses with multiple branches or repeated site work, it helps to keep a record of installation dates and any change requests. Our client care lead can help coordinate follow-up work, future changes and delivery where needed. If you need a new board later, the original measurements and fixing details make the next job quicker.
- Check fasteners and brackets from time to time
- Wash sign faces with mild cleaner and soft cloths
- Report lifting vinyl or damaged panels early
- Keep copies of approvals and layout notes for future updates
